The Algonquin Nipissing Cottage is located on Kawawaymog Lake at Algonquin Park’s north west corner. The Cottage is private and ideal for a large group or multiple families who like to vacation together in a beautiful outdoor environment. 3 night and week long rentals are available year round.
With over 650 feet (200m) of shoreline, a main cottage and two chalet suites, docks, decks, and a floating sauna, the Algonquin Cottage Outpost is designed for a group of up to 12 who love to play in the water. Most days are filled lazing about the water's edge and paddling canoes.
Disconnect from your devices and connect with your loved ones. There is Wifi available and cell service is limited. There is a telephone available a mere five minute drive away at Voyageur Quest Outfitting.
The Algonquin Cottage Outpost comes with two canoes, six paddles and six PFDs. Additional canoes, kayaks, SUP boards, and fishing rods/equipment can be rented.
Add on paddle skills and or water safety lesson. Talk to our office about adding on half-day or full-day trips, meals at our Broken Paddle Patio.

Algonquin's northwest corner is off the grid offering you a chance to unplug and really enjoy your vacation. Add on wifi to your package of a small daily fee.
Ideal for a group of to 15, the Nippsing Cottage is perfect for a large family or group of friends who love adventure.
The Nippising Cottage comes with 3 well stocked kitchens. There is a large deck with a BBQ and picnic table that sits 16. Don't feel like cooking? Add catered meals to your vacation or try our licensed patio at the top of the lake.
Add Fishing rods or stand up paddle boards. If you plan on heading down the river, rent a few more canoes so your whole group can paddle. Try paddling a 10 person voyageur canoe - ideal to paddle around Kawawaymog Lake.

It means that our cottages are not like your home and not hooked up to the Ontario Power Electricity. We operate on solar power to provide lights and run the water pumps to our well.
Wifi is available for a small additional charge! There is no cell service. Telephone access is available in the summer just a short drive away at our Voyageur Quest and Voyageur Outfitting Office, Store, Patio.
Yes, we operate on solar electricity. Our fridge , stove , water heater run on propane gas. Please note these cottages do not have enough power to plug in certain items. Talk to our office if you require power. Be sure to bring spare batteries for your devices when you visit!
Yes. Out of respect for our neighbours on Kawawaymog Lake, there is a strict 10 PM noise policy. We ask that guests turn off electronic music and keep noise to minimum after 10 PM.
Each cottage has a bathroom with flushing toilet and a hot shower.
Water from all faucets is potable. Water is drawn from our well and then filtered before exiting the tap.
The cottages come with one canoe, paddles, and PFDs. Additional canoes, kayaks, and SUP boards can be rented from our Voyageur Outfitting store, just a few minutes down the road.
Yes, you can fish on the lake, river and surrounding area. You must have your own Ontario fishing license and Outdoors Card. For non-Canadian residents, see 1-day permits here
Fishing rods and tackle can be rented from our Voyageur Outfitting store.
Single meals or fully-catered meal packages are available – contact our office for more information. The Broken Paddle Patio is licensed and offers outstanding dinners during summer months. Please ensure you make a reservation.
We do love dogs and you are more than welcome to bring your furry friend. Please note that you are responsible
for cleaning up after your dog and for any damage to furniture, floors etc. that your dog may cause. An additional damage deposit of $250 is required for guests with pets.
