It means that our cabin is not hooked up to grid electricity. We operate without the need for electricity aside from filling our water cisterns from our well, for which we use a generator.
There are two indoor bathrooms for the guests to use in the Log Cabin with flushing toilets. All of the water in the building comes from our well and is filtered for drinking before reaching the faucet.
The shower is located in the shower/sauna house has been fitted with an electric pump on solar power to increase the water pressure.
Depending on your provider, you might receive one or two bars of service on your phone. There is no electricity and no Wifi. It is a 20 minute drive to the town of Trout Creek, where there is service.
