The eastern shore of Georgian Bay is a spectacular sea kayaking destination. Thousands of windswept islands with rugged rock formations provide a breathtaking backdrop and narrow inlets for sheltered paddling, as well as excellent camp sites. This three day sea kayak trip has a relaxed pace for people at any level of experience who wish to take in the scenery along the way. Accommodation is two nights camping.
On our kayak trips, the guide finds the best campsite for the group. Each campsite has tent sites, a firepit, and a “thunderbox” (ie: toilet). We provide the tents, stoves, tarps, and any other equipment required to make a backcountry campsite into a backcountry palace. Water is taken from the lake and purified for drinking. All backcountry travel follows leave-no-trace principles as directed by the guide.

A typical wilderness trip might consist of one couple, a group of friends and individuals travelling on their own. The male and female ratio is usually equal but varies from trip to trip. Northern Ontario paddling attracts people from all over the globe, so you will likely be traveling with an international group. Group size is usually between 6 and 8 people.
Our guides are skilled outdoorsmen and women who are there to ensure your sea kayak trip is an adventure of a lifetime. On top of being well versed in the natural and cultural history of northern Ontario, our guides are selected for their love of the people and the land. All Voyageur Quest guides are qualified professionals and trained in wilderness first aid.
