Voyageur Quest operates unique tailor-made school trips and Outdoor Education Adventures across Ontario. Our diverse team of professional guides, musicians, First nation elders, trappers, mushers and teachers combine to shape innovative programs tweaked to your class focus, interest, age or group size. Duke of Edinburgh award qualifying expeditions and leadership training and are among our most popular experiences.
Most of our Duke of Edinburgh’s journeys and outdoor expeditions operate out of our four facilities at Algonquin Park’s northwest corner. Larger groups travel to our associated camps, lodges within Ontario’s Provincial and National Parks.
Programs are customized for groups as small as 6 to full school or university class groups of 100+. Our Toronto office is available to coordinate transportation from your school, parent information nights and skill workshops.
Both the Algonquin Log Cabin and Algonquin Cottage Outpost are great for groups of 8 to 20 looking for an intimate wilderness experience led by quality instructors. Heated wall tent and traditional winter travel programs are ideal for Duke of Edinburgh Gold candidates interested in winter camping. Programs operate in all four seasons.
Our outfitter located at Algonquin park access # 1 is ideal for guided canoe trips qualifying for bronze, silver and gold levels. Duke of Ed. canoe expeditions focus on leadership development, sustainable living and traditional wilderness travel skills. For a really unique and traditional adventure, ask our office about the Voyageur Canoe “Paddle to the Bay” trips down the French River. Looking for a challenge? Our canoe and hiking trip to Silver Peak in Killarney is a classic.
“Many thanks for the great trip last weekend, the girls can back with nothing but smiles”

Duke of Ed – Algonquin Winter Camping
The colder weather brings new opportunities and challenges in the outdoor classroom giving students an opportunity to enhance their leadership, expedition and survival skills. Winter programs include traditional snowshoe trek hauling toboggans and “hot tenting”, Backcountry skiing, Dogsledding, Pond hockey and broom-ball, mocassin and snowshoe making workshops and first nation cultural leaning.
“The girls had a wonderful time on the weekend – kudos to your staff who made it all happen.”

Older students and colleges love our Fresh Air Challenge where students partake in two to five active components featuring a Voyageur Canoe paddle across the Toronto Harbour, biking, and orienteering.
