7-Day/7-Night Petawawa River Whitewater Adventure
From Cedar Lake to McManus Lake
Our seven-day, seven-night Algonquin canoe trip travels west to east on the Petawawa River from Cedar Lake and the old town of Brent through to McManus Lake. Experience the thrill of whitewater on the Petawawa, with lots of time for wildlife viewing, hiking and backcountry exploration.
Rendez-vous in downtown Toronto for your transportation to Voyageur Quest Outfitting, located at Algonquin Park Access Point #1. Enjoy a sauna and BBQ, and prepare for the journey ahead. Depart for Cedar Lake at sunrise, for your week-long adventure.
Learn (or refresh) your whitewater paddling and safety skills as you make your way to the Petawawa River. The thrill of class two and three whitewater is matched only by the spectacular wilderness of Algonquin Park. For seven days you’ll paddle the clean, fresh water, dine on gourmet backcountry meals cooked over the fire, and sleep under the stars at stunning wilderness campsites.
The journey comes to a close at McManus Lake with a farewell lunch and return transportation to Toronto.
