Trip Itinerary

Design the outdoor schedule to your pace. Try a sunrise canoe excursion in search of moose or sleep in with brunch. Go fishing, go on a forest hike, or relax with a book on the sundeck. Bonfire, music, fishing, craft beer, award-winning wine – how can we make this weekend the best possible for you?

Day 1
Rendez-vous for lunch at the Algonquin Log Cabin at the northwest corner of Algonquin Park. Learn to paddle a canoe followed by a hike of Kitchie Island. Choose to return to the Log Cabin to relax or continue your adventure exploring Surprise Lake by canoe. Wind down the afternoon with a cool drink on the sun deck, a dip in the lake, or unwind in the sauna. Feast on a gourmet, home-cooked dinner followed by a night paddle in a 26-foot Voyageur Canoe, listening to the sounds of Algonquin.
Day 2
Morning hike to Lookout Bluff with a spectacular view overlooking the lakes of Algonquin. Return for lunch back at the Log Cabin and spend the afternoon relaxing, exploring Surprise Lake by canoe, swimming, fishing, or reading a book on the porch. Go for a late afternoon paddle to a scenic campfire point for sunset, bonfire and a cook-out dinner. After dinner, learn about the northern sky as you canoe under the stars back to the Log Cabin.
Day 3
Rise and shine for an amazing sunrise paddle through the morning mist. Search for moose or beaver lodges and take advantage of spectacular photography opportunities. Enjoy a cook-out maple syrup breakfast and then return to the Log Cabin for a Canadian-style BBQ lunch. Swim, sauna, and take in the pristine wilderness before an afternoon departure.

Client Testimonials

“I absolutely loved my time at the Algonquin Log Cabin! Cannot recommend this beautiful log cabin enough for its first-class service, its private, cozy comfort and the incredible proximity to the incredibly picturesque Canadian wilderness”

Rollie

“If you like the outdoors and adventure, but not the packing, organizing, cooking, cleaning, tenting, and clean-up that comes with it, this is the trip for you. From the moment you settle in, it’s good meals, and as much adventure you can handle (be it the wooden sauna heated by a fire-breathing dragon, hiking, canoeing, or swimming). ”
