Toronto Paddle and Indigenous Feast
“A Toronto Island adventure for groups”
The Island Paddle and Indigenous Feast begins with a fun and informative paddle in a historic Voyageur canoe. Learn about the Canadian fur trade and Voyageur lifestyle, taste wild edibles, practice Voyageur pipe breaks and traditional songs! Each canoe is guided by a colorful and knowledgeable courier du bois.
The traditional tea is followed by an Indigenous feast of venison, smoked fish dandelion salads, wild rice, root vegetables cooked in maple syrup, bannock, Ontario fruit and fresh baked berry pies served alongside coffee, tea and cider. After eating, relax by the fire, try your hand a baking bannock or enjoy a walk on the beach.
