Itinerary
A date like no other! Bring your loved one to Algonquin's northwest corner for some intimate Algonquin adventure! Navigate your canoe down a meandering river with moving water, kayak to a scenic island for picnic to remember. Put your feet up in front of the fire every night in your own chalet suite. This package is ideal for couples looking for some real adventure.
The Algonquin Cottage Outpost offers 3 fully furnished deluxe solar powered chalet suites with fireplace and deck - located on beautiful Kawawamog (Round) Lake at the northwest corner of Algonquin Park. Each chalet suite features two bedrooms, washroom with hot shower, living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, dining table, deck with BBQ.
THURSDAY - DAY 1
Arrival at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost. Optional dinner. Accommodation - private chalet suite at Algonquin Cottage Outpost.
FRIDAY - DAY 2
Update your canoe skills and review the map over coffee. Then like the Amazing Race, follow the map as you and your partner paddle down a remote river to a deluxe riverside picnic. Try your luck fishing for trout before continuing down the river to the town of South River. Enjoy a shuttle back to the cottages and prepare a private dinner in front of the fireplace

SATURDAY - DAY 3
Follow the map, this time in a sea kayak as you paddle to a beautiful island. Enjoy a home baked regional lunch. Take in a breath of fresh air and enjoy the calm of the wilderness. Late afternoon sauna and cocktails at the Algonquin Log Cabin. Return to the cottage outpost.

SUNDAY - DAY 4
Depart- optional lookout hike.

Three nights deluxe chalet suite accommodation at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost, gourmet lunch day 2, regional island lunch day 3, river paddle with instruction and shuttles, sea kayaks and maps, fishing rods.

RETURN TRAIN TRANSPORTATION FROM TORONTO
Cost is $130 ($117US) per person for return train transportation from Toronto
HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED? WHAT KIND OF SHAPE DO YOU NEED TO BE IN?
None! The "Algonquin Spring Adventure Romance" is for couples with any level of outdoor experience. While this package does not require experience, couples should be comfortable travelling in the wilderness without a guide. Lunch locations require following a trail and using a map. For those who prefer, guided packages are also available.
In terms of fitness, couples should be in moderate shape. You should be comfortable being active for up to 4 hours at a time (at a walking pace).
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Each participant will be required to sign and return to Voyageur Quest a release of liability before being allowed to participate in any trip we offer. This document releases Voyageur Quest from liability in the case of accident or injury for any reason.
