The Algonquin Family Winter Weekend is a great opportunity for families to enjoy a weekend together at Algonquin Park. This great package, created with families in mind, offers active days while enjoying comfortable chalet accommodation. Your family will enjoy the outdoors together through snowshoeing, torchlit skating and a dogsled trail ride on forest trails. Warm up after a day outside with a hot chocolate in front of the fire.
The Algonquin Cottage Outpost offers 3 fully furnished deluxe chale suites located on beautiful Kawawaymog (Round) Lake at the northwest corner of Algonquin Park. Each chalet features two bedrooms, washroom and shower, living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, dining table and deck with BBQ
Day 1 Arrive at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost for an afternoon snowshoe across the frozen lake exploring the cottages and islands of Kawawaymog. Head back to the warmth of your private Chalet Suite at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost.
Day 2 Snowshoe over a blanket of snow covered terrian, this time exploring the forest trails surrounding the cottages. Return to the Algonquin Cottage Outpost. After dinner enjoy a torch lit skate and warm up with a hot chocolate.
Day 3 Get ready for a ride! Meet our musher for a dogsledding trail ride through the Algonquin Wilderness. This one hour experience will leave you exhilerated. Snowshoes are also availale as well as snacks and hot drinks around a bonfire. Return to the Algonquin Cottage Outpost.

The cost is: $989 plus HST based on a family of 4 ($248 per person)
The cost includes: Three nights chalet suite accommodations, torch lit skate, 4 sets of snowshoes, visit to dogyard, orientation, and 1 hour mush.
The cost does not include: HST (13%), personal clothing, meals, or transportation from Toronto.
