Snowshoe through stunning forest trails, try your hand at mushing a team of huskies, and experience the power of a snowmobile or the silence of backcountry skiing across a frozen pond. Enjoy tasty home cooked meals of venison, fresh trout or vegetarian fare served up in front of the fireplace. Tailor the weekend to fit your group. The hilly terrain that surrounds the Log Cabin offers fantastic lookouts and is ideal for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. Return for lakeside saunas and our famous regional appetizers served up fireside. With 6 bedrooms on the second floor, the Log cabin is ideal for a group of 10 to 12.
For a true vacation, book the Log cabin for three days/ nights with the services of our cook and award winning guide team who ensure fantastic days on the trail followed by top notch hospitality at the log cabin.

Algonquin Log Cabin Winter
An ideal winter adventure for active couples, "Adventure for two" packages feature action packed days on the trail with comfortable chalet suite accommodation at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost. Dogsled from your doorstep, snowshoe to highland lakes or ski through the chain of islands. Snowmobile to an ice fishing community or strap on the blades for some torch lit skating.

Winter adventure for two packages are customized to each couple's adventure needs and experience. From $1294 per couple for 3 days/ 3 nights.
Some people think you have to travel to the arctic or far off destinations to experience authentic dog sledding. Not so!!! Just three hours drive north of Toronto; Algonquin Park offers great and reliable snow conditions from mid December to the end of March and is home to some of Canada's top commercial dog outfitters.
Drive your own team for a day trip as part of a lodge based multi adventure or for the hearty, head out on a 2 or 3 day expedition to remote camps with heated prospector tents.
