TOUR and OFFICE COORDINATOR
CUSTOMER INFORMATION/ BOOKINGS/DATABASE/ FOLLOW UP
Answering inquiries by telephone or email, communicating trip information, prices, and inclusions , customizing trips and trip costings with excel, providing information about adventure trips, Log Cabin Lodge, Cottage Outpost, and Voyageur Outfitting, entering information into database, taking bookings on telephone, internet, fax, processing payments
e-mailing Invoice, driving maps, clothing suggestions to customers...
TOUR LOGISTICS
Printing, faxing, e-mailing guest detail information to guides, guide schedule coordination, supplier coordination – dog sledding, canoe rentals, transportation etc., excel spread sheets for operation on complicated days...
MARKETING
Web site maintenance, itinerary changes, photo changes and organization, newsletters, pr and advertising...
ACCOUNTING
Input expenses, seasonal budgets, cash flow projections
Other MULTI - FUNCTION
ie.Picking up/ dropping off vans
Daily hours are 9am – 5pm at our home office in Toronto.
Salary $500-600/week based on experience plus annual bonus

Manager of Field Operations - #2 at VQ (Voyageur Quest) April 15 - October 25, 2013
A unique title for a unique position. Part general manager, part wilderness guide, part property manager and maintenance.This position reports directly to the owner/director and requires someone able to showcase exceptional people/management skills, communication while guiding by example. In short you do whatever it takes to make a tour operation be the best it can be. A new position for a very dynamic company hell bent to grow.
• You love living out of a rustic lakeside cabin without power just outside the northwest corner of Algonquin Park.
• You have commercial guiding experience and still love to guide and inspire others to perfect the art of guiding.
• You love cooking up a storm and hosting others for dinner.
• You love building cabins and know how to fix a set of stairs.
• You understand what customer service is about, you have an eye for detail and you don't settle for ok but drive for great.
• You enjoy communication and are well organized ensuring details between office and operation are delivered and executed.

Algonquin Log Cabin Adventure Guide/Naturalist May 1st to Sept 1st or Oct 20th, 2013
ALGONQUIN LOG CABIN ADVENTURE GUIDE
Voyageur Quest is looking for a guide/naturalist to work 3 and 5-day lodge based interpretative programs at the Algonquin Log Cabin and Algonquin Cottage Outpost. Applicants should have strong leadership skills and be comfortable speaking about Algonquin flora, fauna, night sky and local culture in front of an adult commercial and family market. Good interpretative and program skills are essential.
Applicants should have the following certifications:
• Wilderness First Aid
• Bronze Cross or higher swimming lifeguard status
• Strong leadership experience in a wilderness environment
• Driver’s license required
Approx Dates: End April (training) May to beginning of September and last week in August to third week in October, 2013
$130/ day - includes seasonal accommodation

Algonquin Canoe Guide May 25 to Sept 30th, 2013
ALGONQUIN CANOE GUIDE
Voyageur Quest is looking for a canoe guide to work 3 and 5-day canoe trips at the North West corner of Algonquin Park. Applicants should have strong leadership skills and be comfortable speaking about Algonquin flora, fauna, night sky and local culture in front of an adult commercial and family market. Good interpretative and program skills are essential.
Applicants should have the following certification:
• Wilderness First Responder
• Bronze Cross or higher swimming lifeguard status
• Strong leadership experience in a wilderness environment
All Canoe Guides must have:
• Personal Paddle, PFD, tent & personal camping gear used for tripping
• Comprehensive wilderness First Aid Kit
• Driver’s license preferred.
Approx dates: a week in May for training and then beginning of June to beginning of September and August third week in August to end of September, 2013
$125/day

Part Time Site or Maintenane Worker April 15th, 2013.
Voyageur Quest (VQ) is an Algonquin Park adventure tour company operating at Algonquin Park access point # 1. VQ is looking for a part time site and maintenace worker to help manage our 4 adventure lodge properties.
The Site and Maintenance worker repairs the buildings and equipment as well as maintaining order and cleanliness around the rental units.
Necessary skills include; comfort with wood stoves; comfort with propane appliances, solar power and generators; responsible and organized to handle paperwork; good communication skills; ability to send and receive email and telephone.
The site and maintenance role requires a driver’s licence and vehicle to get to and from work. This position is part time and ideally suited for someone who lives near Algonquin park access point # 1. Work is typically 2 – 3 days a week. Payment is $20/ hour.

Voyageur Quest is looking for a responsible, organized person to oversee the day to day operations at the Algonquin Canoe Outpost property located at the northwest corner of Algonquin Park. The job position involves dealing with customers, packing out canoe trips, meet and greet for all trips, trip logistics, and communication with our canoe guides and Toronto office. Applicants should have the following:
• Valid drivers license
• Personal vehicle an asset
• Proven organization skills
• Good hospitality skills
• Experience canoe tripping and packing out extended wilderness trips
This position involves living on site.
End of May to third week in September, 2013
