Trip Director Algonquin Park /Toronto Island adventures
The Trip Director is responsible for the delivery and implementation of adventure tour programs and special outdoor events in Algonquin Park and the Toronto Islands. The successful candidate leads and works cooperatively with lodge, canoe trip and special event teams in a range of outdoor locations. Working directly with staff and customers, the Trip Director responsibilities include
:
• Delivery and management of high quality outdoor programs year round
• Providing leadership to fellow trip leaders
• Program set up
• Trip logistics and staff scheduling
While this position is Toronto based – the successful candidate will be on site in Algonquin frequently – spending as many as 20 days month in certain seasons. Transportation to Algonquin is provided for many of the programs.
Applicants must have commercial outdoor guiding experience, wilderness first Aid, strong leadership experience as well as solid hospitality skills.

Office of Adventure Tour Toronto based Office position

Voyageur Quest/ Langford & Company have a Toronto office position available for a tourism graduate looking for a career in the adventure travel industry. The position carries a lot of responsibility and should be somebody who is driven to work without supervision and who is keen to mature with a small company.
Responsibilities include:
Customer enquiries, bookings and administration
Website up[dates, web log updates and enews
Trip descriptions, itinerary writing and image work
Data entry and Internet correspondence
Quotes, direct mail, e-mails
General office organization
Lodge and guide correspondence
Essential skills/ education include:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, progressive Internet knowledge, good organizational skills, College or University education
START DATE:
Ideally training to begin ASAP with a full time start date May 2008

CANOE TRIP GUIDE - ALGONQUIN Full and Part time guiding projects for 2008 spring, summer, fall
Voyageur Quest is looking for an outdoor leader to guide 2008 3 and 5 day Algonquin Park canoe trips. Applicants should have the following certification:
Wilderness First Aid
Bronze Cross or higher swimming lifeguard status
Strong leadership experience in a wilderness environment
It is preferable that this person has experience leading commercial canoe trips and has good interpretative skills.
Various contracts are available including full time, part time and seasonal contracts.
Payment is $120/day |
