Backcountry ski Algonquin

If you have been following our web log this week , you know the story is the snow ! There is so much of it -our backcountry ski today translated into epic trail breaking! The sun came out mid afternoon producing a stunning backdrop to the snow laden forest. In our 15 years of operating winter trips in Algonquin Park, I can't remember having this deep a snow pack during winter trainng. Winter staff training is here and our team are all loving our first good dose of -25 c ! Here at the Algonquin Log Cabin , the conditions have been wonderful and perfect for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. For those of you who have been asking about the snow, take a look at this short video.
