I took a walk down the trail to the Outpost and spotted a pair of loons, the first to arrive back on the lake after a winter on the eastern seaboard. The couple made good use of the little bit of available water between the ice and shore. The forest was buzzing with song birds. A spectacular morning! Later over at the Log Cabin we see fresh moose tracks around the cabin and a garter snake sunning on the rocks. I can't get over how warm it is.
