Father and Son Canoeing in Algonquin

Ben, my five year old is beginning to pull serious water! We enjoyed a beautiful sunset paddle across Kawawaymog Lake to a friend’s cottage. Ben is now a canoeing pro after completing his first Algonquin family canoe trip!

Algonquin Park Family Canoe Trip

My friend Simon and I took out our 4 year old sons on their first Algonquin canoe trip last week. What excitement! The boys loved the camping – especially the Mac and cheese, hot dogs and bannock cooked over the fire. The weather was frosty for early August with a day time high of 9c!
