Algonquin Park Winter Adventures
Voyageur Quest operates award winning Algonquin Park winter adventures from December 10, 2007 through March 30, 2008. Come north to the winter wonderland for dog sledding, snowshoeing, back country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing. Customize your own adventure or choose one of our all inclusive weekend, 3 and 4 night packages. Take the train from Toronto's downtown Union Station or ask about our private shuttles from hotels or homes.
Choose one of our weekend, 3 or 4 day Algonquin winter packages:
Take a Friday off work and escape for 3 nights of winter bliss in a chalet suite at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost. Backcountry ski or snowshoe from your doorstep.
Bring your skates for some torch lit skating on a frozen lake. Relax and unwind in front of the fireplace with friends and a glass of wine. Bring your own food and cook to your delight as each suite has a fully equipped kitchen and bbq. No time to shop or prepare meals? Take advantage of our shopping service or make it a special weekend with home cooked meals prepared by our wilderness team. Rent a pair of snowshoes or skis, hire a guide or add a day of guided dog sledding.
3 night weekend packages run from December to April and cost $135 per person with 4 sharing a two bedroom suite or $270 per person based on two.

Experience the thrill of working with a dog team for a day. This is authentic dog sledding in which you actually mush your own team. It is not a ride but a real opportunity to work with animals, understand how a team works and spend a day running the dogs on the trail! Learn how to drive a sled, harness a dog, hook up a team and then head off with your own sled for two to four hour mush.
Algonquin dogsled day trips run from 8:30am to 3:30pm and are $175 per person. Dogsled day trips are great with any weekend or mid week package at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost or Algonquin Log Cabin. Looking for more dog sledding? 2 day Algonquin dog sled trips and 3 day expedition style trips with camping in heated prospector tents are also available starting at $408 per person.

Algonuin Deluxe Snowshoe and Backcountry Ski
Fun, active 3 night eco adventures are filled with unique guided excursions on snowshoes and skis. Snowshoe through snow laden forests to scenic lookouts. Receive expert instruction in backcountry skiing before heading across the frozen landscape following the tracks of lynx, wolves and moose. Night time brings fireside hot chocolate and torch lit skating under the stars. Delicious meals are prepared by your guide on the trail and in the comfort of the Algonquin Cottage Outpost. Trips run all winter and cost $464 per person.

Zoom across frozen lakes, glide through the snow covered forest and logging trails around Algonquin Park. Ontario has over 49,000km of groomed trails, which forms one of the world?s largest network of trails. The Algonquin Cottage Outpost and Algonquin Log Cabin are located near the D-Line of the Ontario Snowmobile Trails. There are many ways to experience snowmobiling with Voyageur Quest. Try a one or two day experience with comfortable accommodation at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost or combine a day of dogsledidng with a day of snowmobiling on the Algonquin Dog Sled & Snowmobile 3 night package.
Snowmobile day trips are $257 per person. The Algonquin dogsled and snowmobile 3 night package is $866 per person based on 2 or $699 per person based on 4.
The Algonquin Log Cabin is ideal for a group of friends or family. The Log Cabin offers an intimate and cozy base to ski, snowshoe and dogsled. The hilly terrain that surrounds the Log Cabin is ideal for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. Return for lakeside saunas and our famous regional appetizers served up fireside. With 6 bedrooms on the second floor, the Log Cabin comfortably accommodates a group of 10 to 12.
